The annual Mass of Remembrance will be celebrated on Sunday, November 1st, at the 10:30 a.m. Mass. During this liturgy, We remember all those who died from our parish since November 2025, and will remember each of our departed brothers and sisters by name. If you have a family member or friend who has died during the past twelve months whose funeral was not from St. Mary Our Mother and you would like to have their name included during this Mass, please contact the parish office and we will include their names on the remembrance list. All are invited to come and share in this special time of remembering our faithful departed loved ones, and offer support for their families and friends.

The Book of Remembrance will be placed next to the Paschal Candle in the narthex, beginning on the weekend of October 26-27th. You are invited to write the names of your deceased loved ones in this book, which will remain next to the Paschal Candle during the month of November.

In your current packet of envelopes, there is an All Souls Day envelope, on which you may write the names of your deceased loved ones. The envelopes will be placed on the chapel altar during the month of November, and your intentions will be remembered in all liturgies during the month of November and throughout the year in Masses listed for “Our Faithful Departed.”

With Thanksgiving quickly approaching, the Horseheads Food Pantry is requesting donations of these traditional Thanksgiving foods:

Canned meats
Cranberry sauce
Boxed instant mashed potatoes
Stuffing mixes
Gravy packets
Jiffy cornbread mixes
Pie crust mix
Canned pie filling (apple , pumpkin)
Canned corn
Canned green beans
Boxed cereals

The Pantry Staff hopes to be able to supply each family that comes in within the next month with these popular Thanksgiving foods.

Can you donate one or more of these? Please bring them to the church , and place them in the Pantry cart in the vestibule.

Do you know a high school senior who lives out Christ’s love through service to their church, home, school, and community? The Hands of Christ Recognition is sponsored by the Office of Evangelization and Catechesis, honors high school seniors who have been the “Hands of Christ” to those around them.
Honorees will be recognized at one of several diocesan ceremonies in 2027.

Worldwide Marriage Encounter is an enrichment Weekend for married couples who value their relationship and desire a richer, fuller life together. The next Weekend is planned for November 20-22, 2026 at Notre Dame Retreat House in Canandaigua, NY.

Our parish has had in the past a Stewardship Committee, which helps raise our awareness of our baptismal call to be good stewards of all God has given us.
At this time, due to the moving and relocation of many members of this group, the time has come for a reorganization of this group.
