Explore three flexible ways for children in Pre-K through 7th grade to grow in faith.

📅 Tuesday Program
Join us for our traditional in-person program! We gather every Tuesday evening from 3:45 to 5:00 PM. To make things easier, we follow the Horseheads School District schedule, so you’ll know when we’re off for holidays and closures. Our classes are designed for children from Pre-K through 7th grade, and we group students by their grade levels. Each class features a Diocese-approved workbook and curriculum, all facilitated by a friendly and trained catechist.
- Meets weekly, September–May
- Great for families who prefer in-person structure
- Led by trained catechists and youth mentors
- Snacks each week
- Includes fun-liturgical events and goodies! We have a Christmas Party, Easter Play, Egg Hunt, and many saint-inspired treats for feast days- all are included in the weekly classes.
This program offers children a wonderful opportunity to learn about their faith while exploring beyond the workbook. Each week features engaging games, activities, and treats that make living liturgically memorable.
🏡 Home Study
Home Study is a parent-led program that lets families dive into lessons together at home using a Diocese-approved workbook! Throughout the year, we’ll have four fun “Home Study” check-ins where families can gather to explore saints, celebrate feast days, and enjoy holidays that fit the season. These check-ins will take place between our two Sunday morning Masses, from 9:30 to 10:30 AM, and you’ll also have the chance to attend a Mass of your choice.
Our goal is to help families weave their faith into everyday life in a meaningful way. If you can’t make it to one of the designated meetings, no problem! You can easily swap it out for any of our parish events, youth group activities, Holy Day Masses, or even some family community service. At the end of the year, we’ll wrap things up with a written test and gather all the materials during our festive “Pentecost Party!”
- Ideal for independent learners or busy schedules
- Works best with strong parent involvement
- 4 Mandatory but fun Meetings throughout the year
- Written Test and evaluation of supplies at the end of the Year
- Allows families to learn how to incorporate their faith into their everyday lives
🌤️ NEW: Hybrid Program
Can’t commit to a full year in-person? Choose just one semester (Fall or Spring) of Tuesday classes and complete the other half as Home Study. It’s the best of both worlds!
This Hybrid Program is designed for students involved in seasonal sports or activities, allowing them to take charge of their education without falling behind. The academic year is divided into two semesters: Fall, which ends in late January, and Spring, which concludes in May.
During the Home Study Semester, students will complete half of their workbook at home and attend two events to fulfill the semester requirements. In the Tuesday Program Semester, students will bring their workbooks to weekly classes and learn alongside their peers.
- One semester of home learning with check-ins
- One semester of group learning
- Perfect for families who travel or are busy during certain seasons
- Great way to have the flexibility of Home Study without falling behind
- Allows students to experience group learning and make friends in their faith while also accommodating their busy schedules
This program is designed with YOU in mind. If your family can’t commit to a full year of in-person classes but you also won’t be able to complete the full workbook on your own time, this program allows for families to make faith the priority and give their students a firm foundation of faith education.

❓ Which program is best for my child?
All three programs follow the same curriculum. The best one for your family depends on your schedule, your child’s learning style, and how involved you’d like to be as a parent. If you’re unsure, reach out and we’ll help you choose!
🔁 Can we switch programs mid-year?
Yes! Life changes — and we’re here to help. If your needs shift during the year, just let us know. We can work together to transition between programs smoothly.
🧑🤝🧑 Can my kids choose different programs?
Absolutely! One child can attend weekly classes while another completes Home Study. Each child can follow the format that fits them best — and they’ll all grow in faith together.
📝 What do students need to “complete” the year?
All students need to finish their workbook lessons. Home Study and Hybrid students also submit a short final review “test” and have to attend their required events. Tuesday Program students complete everything in class! Once your students complete these requirements, they can move on to the next grade level!
