Dear Friends at St. Mary Our Mother,

I learned after recording Sunday Mass this Saturday that Governor Cuomo and the Chemung County Executive have opened churches for Masses effective this weekend.

ST. MARY OUR MOTHER IS NOT READY to do so at this time.

We had been expecting this re-opening at the end of June or the beginning of July, as part of the Phase 4 reopening of New York State. We will work VERY HARD in the next few weeks to finalize the preparations needed for your safe return to the church for weekend and daily Masses. Please watch our website for continuing updates on this.  We hope to publish a detailed procedure that we will need to follow to ensure our mutual safety while being together at Mass in church.  Watch for more to come in the days and weeks ahead!
