💧 What if my child hasn’t been baptized?
That’s okay! If your child hasn’t been baptized, they’ll participate in the RCIC (Rite of Christian Initiation for Children). Through this process, they’ll prepare to receive Baptism, First Reconciliation, and First Holy Communion at the Easter Vigil. We’ll help guide your family through every step!
✝️ My child was baptized in another Christian church — can they still receive First Communion?
Yes! As long as their baptism was done with water and in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, the Catholic Church recognizes it. Your child will prepare to receive First Reconciliation and Holy Communion through a welcoming program tailored to their age and needs. FIRST, reach out to the Faith Formation team so we can start you on the right preparation path!
⏳ My child is older than 2nd grade and hasn’t received First Communion — is it too late?
Not at all! We welcome children at every age. If your child missed the “usual” time for First Communion, we’ll place them in a program or OCIC class that’s right for them.
📘 What if my child has never attended Faith Formation?
That’s totally okay. We’ll help them catch up and ensure they’re ready to receive the Sacraments. Many families join us later — you’re not alone!
