SMOMS E$CAPE Fundraiser – Online Auction Begins!

Online Auction Website: https://www.32auctions.com/SMOMS2022Escape

The online auction starts March 24, 2022 and will run until March 31, 2022 @ 11:45 PM

The annual E$CAPE fundraiser is St. Mary Our Mother School’s biggest fundraiser of the year!  We appreciate your support.  All proceeds from this fundraiser will go towards the school’s operating expenses.

This is the event’s 16th year and it continues to get bigger and better every year.  Despite this event not being in person, we hope this will encourage even more people to participate and help St. Mary Our Mother School.

School Fundraiser – 2022 E$CAPE – Big Money Raffle

The 2022 E$CAPE fundraiser for St. Mary Our Mother School is going to be held as a “virtual event.”  This is the largest fundraiser for the year and is an important component of our budget.  We will have an online basket auction (details coming soon) as well as a Big Money Raffle.  The event culminates with the raffle drawing and a Food Truck Fiesta on April 2, 2022 in the church parking lot!

Tickets for the Big Money Raffle can be purchased by calling the school office at (607) 739-9157.  Tickets are $100 each.  The prizes will be dependent on how many tickets we can sell.  If we can sell more than 350 tickets, the first prize will be $10,000!!!

Pope Francis I calls for Synod

Pope Francis I has called for the entire Church to enter a General Assembly of the Synod of Bishops. Every person is invited to provide input into this process from now until March 31, 2022. The theme for this unprecedented Synod is: “For a Synodal Church: Communion, Participation, Mission.” This Synod is unlike any other Synod in the history of the Church in that Pope Francis I is seeking the participation of every baptized Catholic across the whole world – young, old, marginalized, laity, consecrated religious, and the ordained.

More information is available on the diocesan website at https://www.dor.org/synod/

Individual submissions can be made at https://lp.constantcontactpages.com/sv/FdVInzb

Updated COVID-19 Protocol

Due to the COVID-19 cases in our area, we are exercising extra caution to keep our parishioners and staff safe, especially those who cannot be vaccinated.  Until further notice, masks are required whenever you are in a church building, including when attending Mass.  This applies to everyone old enough to safely wear a mask, regardless of vaccination status.  We are not at this time implementing any additional registration, social distancing, nor extra sanitizing procedures.

One half of the church seating will continue to be “open seating” with all rows open.  The other half will be blocked off at every other row, for those more comfortable with social distancing.  When you enter a pew row, please move to the furthest open seating area, so that others can fill in the row behind you.
