Makes it possible for the parish to respond in an organized and planned way to the needs of others. Suggests acts of charity to help people cope with current crises and facilitates several programs that assist people in need:
- Mitten Tree to assist needy families at Christmas
- Weekly food collections for the Samaritan Center and Horseheads Food Pantry
- Spring Baby Shower project to collect items for newborns and assist the Crisis Pregnancy Center
Educates parish on national and international social issues and promotes legislative action through correspondence to elected officials on social justice issues.
