Our school was founded in 1959 and was staffed by the Sisters of St. Joseph of Rochester. The parish’s Catholic school plays an integral role in fulfilling the Diocese of Rochester’s top priority – lifelong faith enrichment and development.
St. Mary Our Mother Catholic School offers a faith-enriched and value-centered education in a strong academic environment to the following age groups:
- Pre-Kindergarten for 3- and 4-year-olds
- All day Kindergarten for 5-year-olds
- School for Grades 1-6
The school is regional and draws students from the surrounding districts of Odessa-Montour, Watkins Glen, Spencer Van-Etten, Corning, Elmira and Elmira Heights.
The school is staffed by dedicated educators who are certified by New York State and validated by the Diocese of Rochester Department of Catholic Schools.

- Stay-N-Play child care program from 2:45-6:00 p.m.
- Before school child care from 7:30-8:00 a.m.
- Bussing from local school districts for families residing within 15 miles of the school.
- Financial assistance for qualifying families.
